It seems really regrettable to me the way in which police force was called out in full gear and weaponry, I don’t think the situation demanded it !!

I wish these legislators, and all of us (whoever has the responsibility of finances for any organization, including myself) realize that the money given to us is a trust meant to be spent responsibly. For the government, this is taxes. This is money, taken by the government, ostensibly for their own benefit. Taxation is not an inborn right of the government, it is in exchange for services… Ultimately it was either raising taxes or increasing fees/costs in other ways.

This is just another example of the effect the poor economy is having not only on businesses and individuals, but on society in general.

Hopefully, everything will work-out at UC.

Hi Paul, this is one situation that the whole student community must stand one to protest this potential cost. If the process of education takes much of their pocket why can’t they set 5-10% increase rather 30+%. This really is a bad move on the first short.

Yes, student may agitate based on the administration’s move. But will it not the discrepancy committee handle this. Why to post unnecessary photos and waste every body’s time. Let’s see how this situation turns out.

As if costs weren’t high enough already. A 32% increase is ridiculous!
It’s sad that someone had to get hurt though and by the police no less!
