Some of the information here is outdated. Merrill's dining hall now has some of the crappiest and most inconvenient dining hours on campus, being open 4 days a week until 7 PM and closing at 3 PM on Friday.
Merrill has 4 dorms labeled by letter, A-D. A and B are the largest I believe.
No more 24-hour study hours.
I have heard "sterile Merrill" thrown around a bit but usually by students and in jest.
This article also doesn't mention Banana Joes! Banana Joes is right next to the dining hall and is open til 11 PM Monday through Friday. I think they may also be open Saturday with reduced hours. Banana Joes is basically a convenience store, offering things like deodorant and shampoo alongside soda, instant and comfort food, some produce, and hot food which they make for you there.
Also, where is Tacos Moreno in this article?! This little mexican food joint accepts flexis and cash, and conveniently an ATM is located just inside. They have your typical burritos, nachos etc which are made fresh to order, as well as sodas and horchata (along with other Ole! drinks.) They're open 7 days a week til 9 PM.

I currently live in Merrill college, and highly disagree with this article. Merrill college does not have 24 hour quiet hours, (Except during Finals week) and the only time I have ever heard it called "Sterile Merrill" was through websites such as this one.
