Yes, nice article, but try to fill more formats here. As I know, in current time possible to find even 200 different formats of files. Will good if you will describe more formats.

You forgot to mention the .rtf format. I also wanted to ask – do you you know how to open .djvu files on MAC?

I use Adobe Reader for PDF,MS-WORD for doc and Powerpoint for ppt.Haven’t heard of DJVU before.Besides ppt is the is the most common used file format.

My common file format is:
Html and PHP, because study progamming. I used notepad++ to open those.
and for zipping the format I use winrar, the software is not free but the trial is never ended.
