Hmmm, all of these tools violate YouTube’s terms of service. Why are they featured here? YouTube’s TOS state you can’t “convert” vids or use 3rd party tools to extract vids. See items 4C,5B,5F on their page http://www.youtube.com/t/terms Why do people keep thinking it is ok to grab videos out of YouTube?

Hopefully the new iPods announced by Apple yesterday will help with YouTube access. The Nano will now get a free video camera built in so you’d maybe expect some sort of better integration with the site.

ClipNabber.com is another nice site for downloading youtube videos and vids from other sites like vimeo and megavideo.

@Ste; Definitely, when I have to convert large movies for my iPod I have to do it loooong in advance. But for short YouTube videos, Videora works like a charm!

The Videora software is fantastic! I spent quite a bit of time trying to find something that worked and Videora is all I found. It works a treat but can be slow with large files.
