This site gives good tips for the students who will step up to college. They might have an idea now how to prepare and bring when they will go to the students dormitory. Thus, they will be aware too if what are still required to take that is not found in your lists.

Something that you alluded to was hanging decorations – I know my dorm doesn’t allow tape on the walls, so you may want to consider poster putty or command strips. They save my life every semester!

How about some small trash cans & disposable liner/trash bags? One for bath, one next to desk, one by bed?? Also a wireless, portable door security alarm can be nice. You can take it with you when you move out. The GE45117 is cheap & practical. A nice back up when you’re gone to class or gone home for a weekend.
