Giving the ol’ gym another go

Before I left for college, I worked at a fitness club. One of the best benefits of working there was free membership — I was able to use the facilities whenever I wanted for free. I did my best to take advantage of this and worked out quite a bit, and by the end of it I was actually in pretty good shape.
Of course, sometimes laziness would prevail for a while at a time, and I would lose some of what I had gained, but for the most part I was good about keeping the habit going.
At college, I’ve tried a few times to get into the habit of the gym again, seeing as I once again have free membership due to being a student, yet it’s been a lot tougher. At UCSC, the gym is located near Cowell College, which is across campus from me and about a twenty minute walk. While that’s not the end of the world, it is pretty inconvenient when you’re trying to start the habit of working out.
Luckily, a few friends and I are trying to motivate each other to get back into the habit. We went last night and today, and now I’m sore enough that I can’t even properly extend my arms. I hate being out of shape, but few things feel better than being fit.

So I have to ask. Are you still working out? I am going to the gym myself in about 5 minutes. Ahh if I only had a free membership like you did! Like the blog!
