@Turk: Thank you! I definitely understand what you mean by the media being inaccurate about what life in college is really like. I’ll definitely tailor more posts to general life in college. Also, seeing as you’re going to UCSC, what college are you going to be in? Always good to meet a fellow banana slug.

I think a lot of people tell you about the applications process, but where we get lost is what happens after that. Like Mark said, the transition from high school to college is where people get stuck. Also, tips/what it’s like living away at college and about the social life are two things that we only get from the media (and we all know what a skewed perspective that one is) so it would be nice to hear more about what REALLY happens in college in that sense.

I will be going to college in the fall, so let me just say, this site was a life saver to me when I found it. Especially the things about the 10 UCSC colleges, since that’s where I’m going. There’s a lot of good stuff on here that you don’t get anywhere else.

That’s fantastic that you are giving these type of options to your readers, which makes it even more interesting to read this blog. I myself will be voting for transitioning from college to high school, especially because I think that is something that can help a lot of people.
